The Rapid Software Testing Methodology and course material are developed continually by James Bach and Michael Bolton
James Bach,
RST Founder
Principal Consultant of Satisfice Inc.
James started as a developer, in 1982. He became a tester at Apple Computer, in 1987. He is a founder of the Context-Driven school of software testing.
James popularized the idea of exploratory software testing, in the 90’s, creating the first class by that name. He created and teaches the Rapid Software Testing methodology, and has written two books: Lessons Learned in Software Testing (with Cem Kaner and Bret Pettichord) and a book about self-education called Secrets of a Buccaneer-Scholar.
As consultant James works with project teams and individual engineers to help them plan SQA, change control, and testing processes that allow them to understand and control the risks of product failure, as well as product risk analysis, test design, and in the design and implementation of computer-supported testing.
